Our Target Audience

Who would be the audience for your media product?

Our media project is a creative, art house style psychological thriller, which would fit into the alternative/ Indi genres.

Our  typical audience member would be male aged 29 (generally men in this age group tend to enjoy the edgy thrill seeking genre more than women) They will probably live in London and will be well educated, (university degree level) middle class, with an intelligent interest in culture (someone that attends art galleries, and alternative cinema on a regular basis) They may also be intersted in neiche magazines eg uncut or gardian. They are passionate abut music and film, and will probably listen and watch alternative, independent genres eg enemy, alt-j or the grimes. They will seek out less well known fashion labels and have a desire not to blindly follow current fashion trends. They are also probably inteested in the internet and regularly use social networking sites, chatrooms or blogger.
This person would ideally work in a creative industry eg a graphic designer with an appreciation for the stylistic film. They would certainly have Creative hobbies and interests.
They are likely to hear about are thriller through niche magazines and in the media

Our secondary audience would be male and females over 20, they are either generally interested in art house films or people who seek out thrillers. They may either be drawn to our edgy, creative approach or generally attracted to the fact that our thriller contains horror and suspense. They are likely to hear about our thrillers through niche magazines, and through the media. Some people are likely to see our film through art house cinemas, however most viewers will probably view our film through DVD sales or download. I imagine that generally the people that would be attracted to be thriller are well educated with creative hobbies and occupations.

Here I have created a Facebook page for our ideal target audience member
