Youtube Statistics

Here is the youtube statistics that we received about our music video
620 people viewed our video, this suggests it had a reasonable level of appeal, with a steady acceleration of viewers each time.

This graph suggests that the majority of people viewed the video on youtube, and as we initially releaced the video onto youtube, this is the figures we would expect. It also suggests that the majority of the audience were of a young age, as generally youtube videos are mostly watched by younger people.

The graph above shows and the amount of veiws the music video had in each country with the avarage viewer duration time. The fact that our video was viewed in over 4 countries outside of the UK suggests that it was viewed between members of the public, not by people related to the school, as well as suggesting it had international appeal. In over 7 countries the average person viewed our video for over 2minutes suggesting people had a sustained interest throughout.

the data suggests that generally the majority of people have viewed the video on both mobiles, tablets and computers however there was a peak use of people watching the videos on computer in mid december, indicating that possibly more people watch youtube videos over the christmas break.

Audience feedback Survey

We produced a survey for audiences to rate our music video, through the program Survey Monkey. Survey monkey is a free and easy to use website which allows you to make and customise surveys to suit the product. It then allows you to email the survey directly to members of our target audience, which they can send back, helping us to establish the successes and failures of the product.

We came up with the following questions to put on our survey:

Q1 What is your favourite genre of music

Q2 Do you think Wonderland's image is similar to other artists of the indie-rock genre?

Q3 Do you think the CD digipak is realistic and professional looking?

Q4 Would the CD digipak grab your attention either in an online store or in physical form

Q5 Do you think the website is effective in creating the overall star image of the band?

Q6 How easy was it to use the website?

Q7 Is there anything that was unclear in the video or that you would have changed?

Q8 On a scale of one to ten, how successful do you think the whole campaign would be in the real world?

Q9  What did you derive from the dolls house concept?

Q10 Is there anything you think we could've done more effectively to promote the star image of the band throughout our whole campaign?

Task 3 - Prezi What have you learned from your audience feedback?

For our task 3 evaluation, we have to use the software "Prezi".  I watched youtube tutorials on how to use the program on the prezi website.

TASK 1: IN WHAT WAYS DO YOUR MEDIA PRODUCTS USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMES AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCT

TASK 1: IN WHAT WAYS DO YOUR MEDIA PRODUCTS USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMES AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?

CONVENTIONS

What is a convention in media?

A convention is  or a way of doing something or an element which is expected to occur. In media, the majority of products are created in established and repeated ways, these aspects are conventional. Similarly if you go against and challenge the usual convention, it is seen as being unconventional. For example the conventions of a music video are a band performance with lip synching, close up camera shots and a narrative.
