Costume for the man

For the man, it is important he looks creepy, dirty and like an artist. We debated ideas about what we wanted the artist to wear. We wanted to conform to stereotypes of what a villain should look like yet still make it clear to the audience that he is an artist. We wondered over whether a leather jacket would be to much, we thought it may cause him to look more like an action thriller villain, more that a psychological thriller. So we went along the route of the artistic look, we thought about putting him in overalls, covered in paint and blood. Another debate was whether the artist should have glasses on or not. The movie 'The Lovely Bones' was an inspiration for the look of the artist- the child capturer in the film has an eery look we want for our artist.
